Dillman's Creative Arts Workshops - This is the 33rd year of bringing nationally known art instructors and special interest programs to the beautiful Northwood's. Starting the end of May and running every week through the first of October. Call Dillman's Bay Resort for more specific class topics and for more information (715) 588-3143.

Woodland Indian Art Center -The Art Center and Gallery offers classes, workshops, demonstrations, and a full range of Native artistic programming. Classes in beading and moccasin making, fish decoy carving, birch bark basket making, and more are offered year round. All levels of classes are available. If your group has a special interest in Native art we will customize classes with qualified instructors to meet your requirements.

Ojibwe Craft Classes- Starts the 3rd week of June and runs through the 3rd week of August. Classes are held at the George W. Brown Jr. Museum and Cultural Center. For more information on specific class topics and to reserve your spot, call 715-588-3333.

                     Indian Bowl Pow Wow's,

Starting June 23rd, there will be Pow Wow's every Thursday at the Indian Bowl in downtown Lac du Flambeau.  Shows will start at 6:30 pm.  Admission is $7 for Adults, $5 for ages 5-17, $3 for Tribal Members and FREE for Tribal Elders and children ages 4 and under. 15th Annual Lakesfest - held on the lawn of the Lake of the Torches Hotel and Casino from 10 am to 3 pm. Displays from State and Tribal departments, Enjoy Live Entertainment, Canoe Races open to the public with cash prizes, Kids Games & Activities, Free Hot Dogs and Soda PLUS Raffles every hour as well as a Grand Prize raffle. Nations of Warriors Pow-Wow, Honoring all Veterans!!  Located at the Indian Bowl in downtown Lac du Flambeau.  Grand Entries will take place at

1:00 pm and 7:00 pm on Saturday and 1:00 pm on Sunday.  Daily cost is $6 and a weekend pass is $10.  Veterans, Elders (60 and over) and children under 5 are FREE!  For more information please call 715-588-3695

July 4th Celebration - held throughout downtown Lac du Flambeau with the parade starting at Noon. WWII Airplane Fly over prior to the start of the Parade. Kiddie Parade, Trophies, Native American crafts and food, Kids Games at the Indian Bowl from 1:30pm to 3:30pm, SPECIAL POW WOW at 6:30pm and FIREWORKS following at dusk. 29th Annual - Bear River Pow Wow- Held in the Old Indian Village on the Bear River Pow Wow grounds. This annual event brings tribes from across the nation to celebrate together. Open to the public to share in crafts, food and dancing. Friday Grand Entry is at 7 pm, Saturday 1 pm and 7pm and Sunday 1 pm. Admission Call Teresa Mitchell (715) 588-3333

 LdF Lion's Brewfest Held at Torpy Park in Minocqua from 1 pm to 5 pm. Sample 70+ craft, specialty and micro brewery beers. Enjoy live music, raffles, famous Lion's brats, hotdog's, and burgers. Tickets $25 and includes a commemorative Pilsner sampling glass, proceeds support local charities. Woodland Ways

A Benefit for Northwoods NiiJii’s Woodland Indian Arts Initiative

Sunday, August 12,  3:00pm – 9:00pm.  The evening starts at 3:00pm with Native Arts Conversations and Workshops with Master artists from Lac du Flambeau, Greg Johnson, (Ojibwe beading) and Sandra Peterson (Birch Bark Basketry). Followed by a Native Flute Performance with Wade Fernandez. At  

7:30pm is a Traditional Ojibwe Feast and Native Arts Raffle.  The event will take place Dillman’s Bay Resort and Creative Arts Foundation, 13277 Dillman’s Way (Formerly 3305 Sand Lake Lodge Lane) Lac du Flambeau, WI.  Call 715-588-1514 Free and Open to Everyone.  Tax deductible donations will benefit Northwoods NiiJii’s Woodland Indian Arts Initiative.  Raffle tickets $5.00 each
